Discover How Not to Be Fat......Unless Your Lazy .

Being Lazy is Bad and Stupid, Unless Your Broke!

That has got be my all time favorite funny motivational videos from my mentor Jim Rohn. He talks a lot about success and what it takes to become one.

I started listening to Jim when I found out he coached one of my other mentors, Anthony Robbins back when I started setting serious goals in 1990. After almost 20 years of setting and achieving goals I’ve boiled it down to two main ingredients.

One is you must believe that you can achieve the goal and that you deserve to achieve it. This will require a positive mental attitude even when you become discouraged to maintain the steam or desire to follow through to completion of said goal.

And the second is the mental focus and discipline required for you to take the actions you must take when striving toward the desired goals through whatever obstacles you encounter along your way.

You may think this is really easy to do, but what if one of the “biggies” comes up in your life and it really lays you on the floor, in the basement, beneath a table and wrapped in a soggy blanket of depression to the point it’s really hard to move.

Don’t want to answer the phone, see anyone, do anything kind of funk? This can be bad, but not nearly as bad if your health is poor.

Part of learning to deal with set backs and challenges is learning to play the cards your dealt the best way possible while maintaining your health so when a break comes, your ready to move on it!

Eating well and getting rest is an absolute must. All the typical thoughts for you come to mind regarding foods you eat by eating several small, protein rich, fat balanced, non-processed carb whole food meals each day.

You must get 7-9 hours of sleep to heal the body from any stressors that occur during each day’s physical and emotional challenges.

You must keep the mind clear of any additional negative bombardment from external sources like the media news machine or negative people. Extra time TV wasting must go. Try reading a good book instead and working on learning some new skills that will move you to a better place professionally. This always has a nice effect on income which can definitely enhance happiness and improve your overall mood.

In his book “Conquering Depression & Anxiety through Exercise” by Dr. Keith Johnsgard , he states the positive effects of exercise on mood and emotional states to be a huge benefit by increasing the endorphins associated with a positive mental state of mind. The increased oxygen flow created by a workout will boost confidence and positive state of mind almost immediately following an exercise session.

When In doubt about the cards you’ve been dealt, play them better by staying healthy and fit! Stay Ready, so you don’t have to get ready!
